Based on the very strong signal here, I entered into three 3x bull positions around 1:30 PM.

 UPRO - in at 152.78

 BGU - in at 53.49

 TNA - in at 44.36

Fingers crossed. None of these positions are so large that they own me - I left room to add in another unit if needed, based on what happens tomorrow or Monday.

 Bartune1,

You always mention Vix Divergence signal. What do you mean by this? From Kevin's post it is when it closes above/below the upper bollinger band.

 Thanks
 Erik

I think he means the percentage it closes above or below the 10 day MA. Today the 10 day MA for the VIX is 18.49, and it closed at 22.27

 22.27 / 18.49 = 1.2044 or 20.44% above the MA.

That's a lot - think of a bubber band that is stretched. The farther it stretches from its rest state, the greater the force driving it back to the mean. Bollinger Bands measure basically the same thing, but in standard deviations rather than percents.

Is there a reason why you are using b'bands vs moving average envelopes. According to the Connor's VIX 'stretch' I have read about it is 10% above/below the MA. Wouldn't the MA envelopes be more accurate for measuring?

 Thanks,
 Erik

Honestly, both methods work. Your choice.

Do you have an IM that you use? Would like to talk to you about VIX. Might be easier to chat back and forth.
