1/17/2006 7:59:15 PM Riggs, I haven't actively followed this thread, but by the tune that everyone chimes at the end of the day, it seems that the magic potion just might be found in this lifetime after all. So I ran ure very first filter you posted. # 1. DMA 5% FILTER: However, I see no oasis but a pool of bloodbath among the stocks returned. If what you say is correct in that this filter will "equip(s) the surfer with infrared high powered Binoculars, so he sees the Shark fin 3 swells away under a dim moonlight night!" am I to just blindly plunge head over heels into the bloodbath? Here's what I got after running ure filter: Symbol........Last..........%Chg.............Vol..........DMA(28-14)......Double.Stochastic(103) ________________________________________________________________________________________________ AAI..........13.79..........-8.01..........3086900..........15.90................2.15 AIN..........33.69..........-9.36..........1017700..........37.09...............28.81 CAL..........17.24.........-11.45..........8353700..........20.93................2.61 DCN...........5.40.........-20.59..........7479100...........7.22...............11.58 DGII.........10.42..........-7.95...........542362..........10.96...............40.07 ENDP.........29.00..........-3.20..........1459060..........30.70................2.10 FTE..........23.12..........-2.16...........284600..........25.15................5.31 HA............3.65..........-3.44...........156400...........4.03................5.48 HITK.........26.78..........-5.70...........444016..........29.54...............10.69 MEH...........4.15.........-13.00...........320400...........5.16................1.23 NAV..........26.62..........-1.04...........693000..........28.45................4.79 PZZA.........32.89.........-50.13...........421022..........61.47...............11.42 QDEL..........9.76..........-4.31...........956772..........10.51...............12.86 RSTO..........5.76..........-4.40..........1681642...........6.12...............48.25 WFMI.........72.75..........-0.78..........2797056..........76.70...............12.94 NFP..........49.85..........-1.29...........301400..........52.42................3.15 JRN..........13.07..........-4.67...........316300..........13.90................1.14 LKQX.........19.18.........-50.57...........147400..........36.47................8.59 TRW..........24.48..........-4.19...........353400..........26.25................9.27 You don't need to be an expert to see that all of them fell -- quite severely. 1/18/2006 8:26:05 AM nikoschopen, per Tomb in tech support the dma(28,-14) is nothing more than a 14 day simple moving average on the most recent price bar. THIS IS PRECISELY THE POINT I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO MAKE TO OTHERS WHO HAVE FALLEN INTO THE TRAP OF LOOKING AT THE HISTORICAL PLOT OF THIS INDICATOR. HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU SAY AN INDICATOR HAS PREDICTIVE VALUE TODAY WHEN TODAY YOU COMPUTE A 28 PERIOD MOVING AVERAGE AND THEN MOVE IT BACK 14 DAYS? YET MANY IN THIS FORUM HAVE FALLEN FOR THIS LINE THROWN OUT BY RIGGS..."equip(s) the surfer with infrared high powered Binoculars, so he sees the Shark fin 3 swells away under a dim moonlight night!" I want to thank others for having the courage to speak out about the preposterous claims about this indicator. TRO, of all people I would think that you would simply dispel the myth that the dma(28,-14) is in fact nothing more than a 14 day simple moving average. A lot of other folks on this forum look up to you. Why have you been silent? Do you have a business relationship with riggs? |

1/18/2006 9:05:51 AM nikochopen, Let me guess....you're going to bet ALL the stocks on that page right? Also you will notice that most of the stocks have the DMA slope pointing downward! Why on earth would you put money on a stock like that? I have about 10 different filters I draw from, and if I'm lucky I might use one from each filter. And do you know how to trade? If so, you could have made money at some point on MANY of those stocks! So don't come at me with black & white! Trading is not at all like that. Out of all those stocks you posted, let's see what happens tomorrow! I'll put on a trading clinic if you like, and I'll find 1 or 2 of them that will ROI just fine. It's not about the filters. It's about entry & exit points & market timing! Filters provide "market timing" and GOOD trading skills will always provide the "entry & exit points." Besides all that, were not even talking about that filter anylonger! You are way behind my friend. This is the filter you need to be wasting your time on backtesting.... It's not about "high scores", it's about taking what the market will give you! Do you have the balls to do that? Yes? Then you will be a success. If you just want to wait for a "green" colored performance column, then you will always be driving a limo for guys like me. RIGGS. |

1/18/2006 3:23:49 PM maxreturn - Do you have EVERYONE on "Ignore?" LOL...If you would turn it off for a second you would have seen "TRO'S" responce to your question! ______________ "maxreturn [Ignore] 1/11/2006 8:29:23 PM TRO, why are you advocating using the dma(28,-14) instead of the ma(14)? " Simple, same reason I "advocate" RSI(2)... {IT WORKS!} You can always add ma(14) or anything else to any filter that I or anyone else posts. You can modify any filter that I or anyone else posts. Besides, it's not WHAT you trade, it's HOW YOU TRADE IT! MAY ALL YOUR FILLS BE COMPLETE. _______________ Did you see that? He said "IT WORKS!" So can the REDUNDANT SMA(14)theory! And stop your whining for God sake! You're not saving anyone here... RIGGS |

1/18/2006 3:43:39 PM "...He said IT WORKS..." --------------------- Hard as it may be for some to believe...Rumple is NOT the "Last Word"...as to what...uhhh...WORKS ! And this is particularly true NOW that he has apparently become involved in some financial arrangement (ie. "joint venture" LMAO) and has a vested interest in keeping his mouth shut while riggsy (and all his alter egos) blathers on and on ad nauseam ! It has all become The Theatre of the Absurd !!! 1/18/2006 4:38:31 PM Riggs.........DMA dominator #1 had the "slope above zero" as the "priority" as you stated to UDI and Trendseeker in a previous post. Now, with the DMA plus RSI(2), the slope phrase is gone and the scans produce up and down slopes. Did I miss a piece of the filter when I changed the original Dominator to the DMA plus RSI? I know what I'm after (price below slope, direction of slope etc., just learning the scan syntax of SF. Can the "slope above zero" be added into DMA plus RSI(2)? Thanks, Luc |

My time is better spent creating than debating. I have no time for arguing. I wasted too much time arguing/debating with certain people. You can use any filter/indicator (rsi(2), dma(28,-14), Muddy BB, ZOOM LENS, etc...) you want to select your stocks but the fact remains you STILL HAVE TO TRADE THE STOCKS!! As far as any business relationships I may or may not have with anyone is MY BUSINESS. I have shared plenty on this forum and others. My record speaks for itself. MAY ALL YOUR FILLS BE COMPLETE. |

It doesn't matter. The filters have been SHARED FREELY. Do you want your money back? LOL! |
